what people are saying

To be drawn to a piece of art for its beauty is one thing, but to see the work through the heart of the artist is one of the greatest gifts any collector can acquire.

I have never met Bryan in person and yet call him one of my closest friends. I expressed my love for his work on social media and it instantly opened a friendly conversation that has led each of us to share what drives us and our art and the struggles we face.

Support living artists and learn the story behind the work that speaks to you. Your art will take on a whole new meaning, I promise.

Almost 5 years ago I was approached by an artist named Bryan Sanders who asked me to be a part of his "Silly Selfie Project," which has since grown into a wonderful collection. When I first heard of this project I was in my last year of college and found Bryan's art truly inspiring. I thought participating in the project could be a wonderful way to step out of my comfort zone and be part of an exciting, emboldened, and beautifully artistic endeavor. I said "Yes" and we began to collaborate on finding the right image and expression. Shortly after he showed me the finished piece and it brought so much joy to my day that I couldn't stop smiling. Little did I know that the joy would translate into a long lasting friendship with the man. He has been a absolute rock and inspiration who helps me everyday. He went on to paint multiple iterations of my selfie. Each more unique than the last. In doing so he positively transformed the way I view myself.

Now, five years later I am honored to own three of his paintings and every single day, no matter my mood, no matter what I am going through, and no matter the state of the world, I see these paintings and all my stress fades away.  Bryan is an amazingly talented artist, but also has a very special gift of revealing the best in whomever he paints.

Bryan's painting of my beloved pet, Doggie, hangs to the side of my bed. Not a morning goes by that I don't smile as I glance at the painting which so wonderfully captures her soft and loving spirit.

Two years ago I had never heard of Bryan Sanders. My friend Ken shared some of his artwork on Facebook one day and it was a real thunderbolt to see these living and colorful works of art. The painter specializes in men's faces. I was seduced by the beauty and diversity of his subjects. Rendered in oils, his assured technique and his perfectly mastered strokes of bold colors results in faces with striking looks. His chosen format of 6"x6" for these makes them inviting and very intimate.

First I dared to experiment. I chose a piece titled "Windswept." Completely charmed by his slightly arrogant look and his rebellious hair. Quickly other faces were added. I followed the "periods" of Bryan. The "blue," the "red," the "monochrome" in black and white. To the point I currently own 12 works from his collection. I am proud to say that they can be found in the special edition #15 of the magazine Juturna Male Art Magazine dedicated to Bryan.

He amazes and continues to amaze with every work he creates. He has not finished surprising us and embellishing our lives.

I became aware of Bryan's work through mutual friends in the UK. I fell in love immediately with his artworks, but never thought the day would come I would hang a piece of his on my wall.  I am pleased to say that situation has changed since Bryan was able to navigate the Covid postal restrictions and deliver this piece to me.

The love and attention he puts into each piece is palpable. You  feel it when gazing upon the work. Enjoy his works. Breathe in the love. Purchase one of your own.
